Good morning! I understand that the past few days have been difficult for those adults looking to pick up WLMS students at the end of the day. As a school and a district, we recognize that more parents than ever before are picking students up below the flagpole in the afternoon and we are currently looking at different solutions that will help facilitate a smoother pick-up procedure. In the meantime, I'd like to ask any adult looking to pick up a student to be patient, follow the directions of any WLPS staff member trying to direct traffic, and continue to do everything possible to maintain safety and order.
If, after continued observation, we determine that changes need to be made to the pick-up system, we will communicate them to families as quickly and clearly as possible. If you have any questions, please-- as always-- do not hesitate to let me know.

This offering is for ACCIDENT (not medical) insurance for your student. Options include a school-time plan, 24 hour coverage plan and optional dental plan.
Please be aware that Windsor Locks Public Schools does not provide insurance coverage for accidents that occur during school hours. However, the Windsor Locks Board of Education does provide insurance for interscholastic sports related injuries.
Please give a careful review of the coverages, plans, and benefits provided by these plans.
Please join us on Tuesday, August 19th from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Middle School for an orientation for all 6th Grade students and families and those new to Windsor Locks Middle School. You will have the opportunity to meet school counselors, teachers, and the principals as well as the chance to take a tour of the school.
We are expecting GREAT things for this upcoming school year. We hope to see as many families as possible represented on Tuesday!
