Good afternoon,

I apologize for the late announcement regarding whether to have an indoor or outdoor commencement ceremony, but we were really hoping that the weather would cooperate and allow us to have an outdoor event.   However, due to the weather forecast and our need to set up electronic hardware, a process that takes at least two hours to complete, we are making the decision to have the ceremony indoors.  Therefore, graduating seniors will assemble in the gymnasium at the high school at 4:30 p.m.  Doors to the auditorium will open at 5:00 p.m. to allow spectators with indoor tickets to enter the auditorium.  Staff members that are participating in the ceremony, should report to the high school gymnasium no later than 5:30 p.m.  We will also have overflow seating available in the high school Library/Media Center for air-conditioned viewing of the live stream – tickets are not necessary for spectators to enter the Library/Media Center.  The ceremony will be streamed live and can be accessed from any computer at:  http://www.wlps.org/WLHS/Portal/hs-graduation

WLMS is doing our 3rd Walk for Water on Thursday June 15 and we need your help! This year's project will benefit the Mugumo Primary School in Kenya which serves 297 students.  Our goal is to raise $1500 towards the project to build new latrines, handwashing stations and rainwater catchments.  Please help these deserving students get the safe water they need by donating using the link below. Congratulations to the cast and crew of Windsor Locks Unified Theater for their stellar production of "Journey through High School" Thursday night! You were amazing! Thank you to everyone who supported us and who let us borrow props, including the math, science, music, PE and technology departments! Looking forward to next year!

Final 6 Days of School Schedule

Windsor Locks class of 2017 Project Inspire Parade is quickly approaching. Our “soon to be” graduates will be visiting the Middle, North and South Street School on Thursday June 15.  I expect there will be several proud family members also visiting your schools to watch their babies parading and inspiring the future WLPS graduates! 

Here’s the timeframe….give or take a few minutes:

• 10:00 leave WLHS (dressed in caps and gowns)
• 10:10-10:40 Middle School
• 10:50-11:20 North Street School
• 11:30-11:55 South Street School
• 12:00 arrive back at WLHS

     What:  Please bring in gently used chapter books that other 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th graders will enjoy! There is a 10 book limit and no picture books please!
