Connor Orszak has been selected as a member of Looking In Theatre for the 2018-2019 school year. He auditioned for the Theatre in the spring and underwent a five week training program this summer. Connor will now be touring with this professional group to present family life scenes dealing with important teenage concerns at schools and youth groups throughout the state. Congratulations Connor!
Erin Christianson and Shannon Deshaies were selected to represent WLHS at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) retreat on June 2, 2018. The students were nominated by the counseling staff and asked to attend a seminar at Springfield College. The students were part of a diverse group of speakers, leadership activities, and discussed the ethical and social issues of today. The intention of RYLA is to have their participants/students return to their respective schools and communities with motivation to take on additional leadership roles and to find additional ways to serve.
This morning, Shannon and Erin received awards for their participation at the RYLA retreat this past June. The girls are pictured with our Rotary liaison Marcia Petrillo.
