Read Across America Week!
Let’s get Seuss-ified!
Dear Families:
Read Across America Day is the day we recognize and celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday! We thought it would be fun to show our appreciation and love of Dr. Seuss books by celebrating all week! Each grade level chose a book to highlight for their special day of guest readers. Below are the dates, books, and dress up suggestions for each day.
Monday, February 25th: “Fox in Sox” Day
Wear crazy or mismatched socks! Roll the bottom of your pants up so everyone can see your crazy socks!
Tuesday, February 26th: “Green Eggs and Ham” Day
Wear the color green!
Wednesday, February 27th: “Wacky Wednesday” Day
Let’s get silly! Wear your clothes inside out, backward, or mismatched!
Thursday, February 28th: “Horray for Diffendoofer Day”
Wear polka dots or stripes…or wear’em both!
Friday, March 1: “The Cat in the Hat” Day
Wear black and white (stripes or solids)
We’re looking forward to having a fun-filled, Seuss-ified week!
